Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan’s lawyers İbrahim Bilmez, Faik Özgür Erol and Fuat Coşacak today filed an appeal with the Bursa Prosecutor’s Office for the 753rd time to visit their client.

Previous appeals by the Öcalan’s lawyers have been rejected regularly by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office on grounds of “Restrictions against convicts” listed in the Execution of Penalties and Security Measures Act No.5275.

The appeals have been rejected to date, citing excuses like “bad weather”, “broken boat”, “boat repairs” and “State of Emergency”.

The Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan has been denied any legal aid for more than six and a half years. He is subject to total isolation on the prison island of Imrali in the Sea of Marmara.
